Our Therapeutic Approach

During therapy sessions, I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to your specific needs. These may include Te Whare Tapa Whā, Te Ara Whakamana, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative therapy, Multi-systemic Therapy, Family Therapy, strength-based approaches or other psychotherapeutic approaches.

One of these approaches uses creative expressions, which is an effective form of treatment for individuals who are experiencing emotional or psychological distress. This approach allows for nonverbal communication of emotions and thoughts, which can be difficult to express through language alone. Engaging in creative activities can provide individuals with a sense of control and empowerment, as well as a way to process and make sense of their experiences. Additionally, creating art or communicating through play can be a form of self-care and relaxation, which can improve overall well-being. Therefore, using the creative arts can be an invaluable tool in promoting emotional healing and personal growth.
